HOUSTON - PM Realty Group (PMRG), one of the nation's leading full-service commercial real estate firms, today announced the promotion of Bruce Edwards to senior vice president and managing director of operations for the property services unit. A 24-year PMRG employee, Edwards had been serving as senior vice president and national director of engineering/construction services.
In his new role, Edwards will be responsible for the quality and efficiency of property and facility management functions across the country, and finding new ways for PMRG's clients to reduce operating expenses. He will also identify new opportunities for PMRG to market its 50 years of facility management expertise.
"Bruce has an amazing talent for finding creative ways to save our clients money by reducing the operating costs of their real estate assets," said Rick Kirk, president and chief executive officer of PMRG. "For example, he was responsible for negotiating a contract that helped one client save nearly million in energy expenses. His skill in this arena helps PMRG offer the most comprehensive, cost-effective services to our customers."
During his tenure with PMRG, Edwards has been responsible for corporate support and engineering management of more than 130 million square feet of commercial, retail and industrial properties nationally. Throughout his career, he has acquired broad experience in the design, operation, construction and renovation of commercial office buildings. He also has a thorough knowledge of electrical and mechanical distribution systems, structural and mechanical retrofits, energy conservation and automation retrofits.
