ATLANTA, GA - PM Realty Group (PMRG) has added real estate veteran Dean Giordano to its Atlanta team, which quickly is becoming one of the most experienced landlord representation groups in the metro area.
Giordano, who has been in commercial real estate for 12 years, will start immediately as a senior vice president, said Bill Weghorst, director of the company’s Atlanta region.
Giordano will be responsible for overseeing leasing and marketing of specific projects and for new business development.
Giordano joins PMRG from ING Clarion Realty Services, where he served as vice president and general manager for its Atlanta office. He represented several landmark buildings on behalf of ING’s institutional owners throughout his tenure at Clarion. Projects include Riverwood 100 and 5660 New Northside in the Cumberland-Galleria submarket, Peachtree Dunwoody Pavilion in Central Perimeter, and the Lenox Building and Piedmont Center 14 in Buckhead. Giordano recently completed two notable transactions with Hewitt Associates’ 141,909-square-foot renewal at Riverwood, and Novelis Inc.’s 34,000-square-foot corporate headquarters lease at the Lenox Building.
As a result of Giordano joining PMRG, the firm will assume leasing responsibilities for both Riverwood 100 and the Lenox Building.
Weghorst said hiring experienced landlord representatives such as Giordano is part of PMRG’s plan in Atlanta.
“Our philosophy is to build the Atlanta office with senior people who can provide a high level of experience to our institutional clients,” Weghorst said.
The addition of Giordano, coupled with the hiring of Atlanta real estate veteran Charles “Chip” Roach in 2005, positions PMRG’s Atlanta region as one of the most formidable landlord representation firm’s in the city, Weghorst said.
Building an experienced team has paid off. PMRG’s Atlanta region has added 12 new clients and more than 3 million square feet of new assignments to its roster in the past year.
Giordano said the chance to work with experienced people such as Weghorst and Roach played a key role in his decision to join PMRG.
“I’m excited about the chance to leverage our team’s expertise with PM Realty Group’s national platform when seeking new business opportunities,” Giordano said. |
