Superior Management Draw Judges Eye's To Standout Office Buildings; Alii Place Wins Prestigious "Hale Po' Okela," or House of Excellence Award For Best Office Building In Honolulu
HONOLULU, HI - PM Realty Group, Western Division, today announced that Alii Place and Kaimuki Plaza, two office buildings located in Honolulu, HI, have won the Office Building of the Year (TOBY) awards presented by the Hawaii Chapter of the Building Owners and Managers Association(BOMA). In addition, Alii Place won the prestigious "Hale Po' Okela," or House of Excellence award, for best office building in Honolulu. PM Realty Group manages Alii Place and Kaimuki Plaza on behalf of The Bristol Group and CKSS Associates, respectively.
About Alii Place
Built in 1992, Alii Place is a Class A office building totaling 316,142 square feet. Currently 97 percent occupied, the building's major tenants include Goodsill Anderson Quinn & Stifel, occupying 72,732 square feet; City and County of Honolulu, which occupies 67,567 square feet; Ashford and Wriston, occupying 37,766 square feet; and Bank of America, FSB, which leases 33,155 square feet.
Irene Kobashiwaga, PM Realty Group's lead property manager, has been overseeing the day-to-day activities at the property with assistance from property coordinator Sharon Banfe and an engineering team comprised of Hollis Johnson, Paul Aragaki and Heip Lee.
Since PM Realty Group began managing the property in 1992, Alii Place has won the BOMA-Hawaii Building of the Year Award four times, including 1995, 1996, 1997 and 1999. In 1996, the property won the regional TOBY award in the 250,000 to 500,000 square foot category.
About Kaimuki Plaza
Built in 1994, Kaimuki Plaza is a Class A office building totaling 62,000 square feet. Currently 100 percent occupied, major tenants include Prudential Locations, which occupies 23,211 square feet; Adtech, Inc., occupying 11,459 square feet; and Central Pacific Bank, occupying 3,752 square feet.
Similar to PM Realty Group's Alii Place management team, Irene Kobashiwaga has led the effort with assistance from property coordinator Sharon Banfe and building engineer Willy Dacanay.
Kaimuki Plaza won the 1999 BOMA Building of the Year award in its size category.
