Superior Management/Operations Draw Judges Eye's to Standout Manhattan Office Building
New York, NY - PM Realty Group today announced that 425 Lexington Avenue, a Class A trophy office building located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, has won the Pinnacle Award for outstanding property management and operations by the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA). The building won both the Manhattan and the Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference Pinnacle awards by BOMA, qualifying it for the International Building of the Year (TOBY) award in the 500,000 to 1,000,000 square-foot category to be announced in July. PM Realty Group manages 425 Lexington Avenue on behalf of Sumitomo Life Realty (N.Y.), Inc.
Designed by noted architect Helmut Jahn, 425 Lexington Avenue is a 31-story, Class A office building located in the heart of mid-town Manhattan, directly across from Grand Central Station. The 10-year-old building encompasses more than 675,000 square feet, including nearly 14,000 square feet of street-level retail space, and is currently 100 percent occupied. Major tenants include the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce and the law firm of Simpson, Thacher & Bartlett.
Robert Yodice, Vice President of Operations for New York, has been overseeing day-to-day operations at the property with assistance from Karen Scalogna, Assistant Property Manager, and Jeffrey Dietz, Chief Engineer.
"In collaboration with PM Realty Group, we have been committed to making 425 Lexington Avenue the benchmark for building operating efficiency and exceptional tenant service in the Manhattan office market,” said Hideki Tabata, President of Sumitomo Life Realty (N.Y.), Inc. “PM has embraced technology as a way to improve operating efficiencies and is passionate about tenant service and providing the highest building standards. With the strength of PM Realty Group behind us, we will continue to make 425 Lexington Avenue the standard for excellence in property management.”
Since its inception in 1984, the Pinnacle award (also known as the Office Building of the Year or TOBY) has become one of the most prestigious awards in the commercial real estate industry, recognizing superior quality in office buildings and awarding excellence in office building management. Throughout the judging process, contestant buildings are thoroughly evaluated on all facets of their operations, including tenant relations programs, community involvement, emergency evacuation procedures, continuing education for personnel and compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
“425 Lexington Avenue is among the more premier office buildings in the PM Realty Group portfolio,” said Rick Kirk, president of PM Realty Group. "The building's quality of materials and architectural design provides tenants with an extremely sophisticated office environment, while conveniently located in Midtown. Our professionals’ steadfast commitment to maintaining the property have made this building one of the most prestigious office addresses in the entire Manhattan area. It’s no wonder that 425 Lexington Avenue is an award winner, and we are proud to be a part of it,” said Kirk. To date, PM Realty Group has managed eight buildings that have won regional awards from BOMA and two buildings that were international award winners. |
